Test Results

As promised, here are the results of our test the other day.  You can see we are using the bracketing function, to create HDR images solely for the increased latitude.  Not to create glassy images with over saturated colours.  This is an easy way to get a nicely exposed image without having to worry to much about the change in lighting conditions as the hours pass.
We processed the images using photomatix available here, Adobe light room and a cool program you can download free from lrtimelapse for de-flickering.  They also provide an easy to understand tutorial here lrtimelapse tutorial.
If I were to shoot this again there are a few things I would change.  I would probably raise the camera up on stix and I might place the slider on an incline to reveal more of the building as it slides left.  Over all not a bad test though.  Enjoy.

HDR motion timelapse test

Welcome to the the vepoch blog.  This is our very first post so try not to judge our poor writing skills and bad grammar.  We'll only get better with time.
The purpose of this blog is to begin a conversation with film makers from all parts of the world who want to use their art form to make a difference, weather it be raising awareness on a specific topic or educating the viewer about a variety of subjects.  We will be posting thoughts, links, photos and videos from projects that we are currently working on as well as videos submitted by you.
Our posts won't always have great significants and deep meaning.  Tutorials and testing of new gear will be a common theme.  This will also be a place to learn and develop our craft.
Some members of the vepoch team are currently traveling around the world working on a documentary, so for the next few months we will be posting photos and videos from remote villages in Africa to the jungle in Columbia.
Somehow this has got to become a collaborative effort.  If you have videos or interesting articles you would like to share, email the link to vepoch@gmail.com or post in the comments and with any luck we will begin to develop an active community of unique film makers from every corner of the globe.

If you are wondering about the name "vepoch" its just a word we made up.  It's a hybrid of video and epoch.
