The Turtle


I found this short film interesting on so many different levels that I don't really know where to start. I guess the first thing that stood out was that I initially thought I was watching some kind of UAE version of Mission impossible.  The helicopter budget for this not so little 14min short must have been somewhere in the mid six figure range. Clearly oil money had a hand in producing this insanely glitzy film. I initially found my self wanting to be cynical and then thought why hate on something just because it looks really good.
The director, Stewart Sugg, seems to be Rolex's go to guy so you know he is well versed in creating a beautifully polished high end product.
Bottom line is this is a beautifully shot, well written, well executed short film with a great message. 

Favorite line: A single idea from the human mind can transform the world.
Favorite scene: When the kid mission impossibles him self down over the table and snatches a delicious looking lamb shank.  I could really go for one of those right now.
